We have a range of tungsten beads for many styles of fly fishing.
These beads are designed for fly tying, they are countersunk at rear and a little wider than they are long, both of these factors help them to fit round the hook bend. This is a nicer looking solution than slotted beads.
The Metal coated beads have real metal plating in Gold, Black Nickel, Silver and Copper.
The painted coatings have been tested and developed over a number of years to improve resilience although all coatings do ware with heavy use.
New ! The metallic finished tungsten beads are a new addition to our product range. These are real tungsten beads which by a process of coating and anodizing have colourful metallic finishes. Have a look at the example fly section for ideas of how these can add interest, even in imitative fly tying.
Our beads are 95% pure (at least) tungsten. Oct 2009 note - Density readings for beads to be added soon
