Post Industrial Urban Splendour

500 IMG_8919-EditThe floods of boxing day 2015 caused significant damage to the bridge at Copley

500 IMG_8960-EditThe remains of an old weir now provide much structure and well paced runs.  Jonathan is seen here fishing with a french nymph leader and indicator.

Video: Tying the BWO spinner loopwing

With so many Blue Winged Olives around there are opportunities to fish the emerger and the spinner fall.  This pattern can be used for both by adjusting the colour of the body, wing and tailing. Although it looks complicated at first once you get the technique its an easy way to tie very effective flies.
