We are now stocking a range of Varivas fly fishing hooks and tapered leaders.
Tapered Leaders :-
These leaders have a nice taper to transfer energy from the fly line to the tippet. They are made from nylon with a green tinted butt section and clear tippet section. If given a bit of a stretch when taken out of the packet they unfold nicely and are quite limp.

Hooks :-
These hooks are highly regarded and of superb quality. Precision made in Japan, well tempered and very strong for their gauge.
Varivas 2200 BL - B BLACK This is the barbless version of the 2200. This hooks super-fine wire is beautifully curved and has proven to be a reliable fish holder. It is gaining in popularity for tying klinkhammers, micro klinkhammers and other dry flies and also for some sub surface patterns (although not the best choice for dredging the bottom). The long tapered super sharp point without barb helps the hook to penetrate, then the incurve and well tempered wire keep the fish on. This version has a stealthy black finish.

Varivas 2400V These wet fly hooks have a good strong, heavy gauge, well tempered wire. They have a long tapered and extremely sharp V cutting point for positive, solid hook ups. The shape of these hooks is nice for bead headed flies and nymphs.
The barb can be crushed down, it is not cut too deeply into the wire to weaken the hook.

Varivas 2410V This hook has a nice incurve, wider gape than 2400v, strong wire and a well tapered V cutting point. The shape lends itself to shrimps, bead head flies and other sub surface styles, the incurve helps protect the point from substrate damage and also helps to keep fish on.

Varivas 2210 This is a similar shape to the 2200 but in 4 x fine wire and über small sizes. Well tempered wire holds fish despite size, use fine tippet for smaller sizes.
